At Pacific Gardens we have a program centered on the individual’s life story which aims to maintain cognition as long as possible. We schedule a program of activities—gardening, brain teasers, walks, outings, cooking and musical entertainment and dancing—in a group setting. The group setting is important to maintain socialization. Activities and exercise in our professionally supervised gym help slow the advance of brain deterioration, according to the latest research.

It takes patience and compassion, caring and a calm demeanor to deal with the various aspects of dementia. Our certified staff has all these qualities to help your loved one live a higher quality of life.

Caring Family Support

The person you come to visit is no longer the individual you once knew. It is a heart wrenching time for everyone who must be able to deal with loss and grief and a different way of relating to the person they love. This is path where we believe you need sustenance too. We consider our regular support group to be an integral part of our memory loss program. It helps you deal with your emotions—and find out that you are not alone-- as you encounter the stages of this journey.
