About Us

It was their own personal experiences with aging parents that inspired the owner-managers, Maxine Brookner and David Coombs, to create this independent community.

Maxine and David then teamed up with the City of Santa Clara in conceiving and building this unique residence. Pacific Gardens is the only assisted living and memory support community in the city. Due to this special relationship with the city of Santa Clara, Pacific Gardens has some specialized pricing for qualified residents.

Pacific Gardens believes in fostering the enjoyment of life and building a sense of community while providing quality care and service. We like to say "it feels like home".
